Chicken and potato cutlets is very delicious and versatile dish either cook it or fry it. its depend on your mood. This recipe definitely impressed your family and guest. Ingredients

  • Ground Chicken – 500 grams (about 1 lb)

  • Potatoes – 2 large (about 2 cups mashed)

  • Breadcrumbs – 1/2 to 1 cup

  • Egg – 1 large

  • Salt – To taste

  • Black Pepper – To taste

  • Cumin Powder – 1 teaspoon

  • Coriander Powder – 1 teaspoon

  • Red Chili Powder – 1/2 teaspoon (optional)

  • Turmeric Powder – 1/4 teaspoon (optional)

  • Garam Masala – 1/2 teaspoon

  • Fresh Coriander (Cilantro) – 2 tablespoons, chopped

  • Green Chilies – 1 or 2, finely chopped (optional)

  • Oil – For frying (vegetable oil or olive oil)

Directions

  • Cook the Ground Chicken: First, cook the ground chicken on medium heat. Adding salt, Pepper, Cumin and coriander. Cook the chicken thoroughly and do not let it brown too much.
  • Boil and Mash the Potatoes: Peel the potato and fully boil until they are soft and fully cooked. When potato boils , mesh them completely.
  • Combine Chicken and Potatoes: Now put the chicken and potato together in a mixing bowl and mix them. Mix until they become a uniform mixture.
  • Add Seasonings and Spices: Now add the garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric, cumin powder, and coriander powder. You can also add fresh chopped cilantro and green chilies for extra taste and flavour.
  • Bind the Mixture with Egg and Breadcrumbs: Now add the eggs into uniform mixture of chicken and potato for binding. And add breadcrumbs slowly and mix well but be careful not to get too sticky.
  • Shape the Cutlets: Now make the shape of cutlets like roll or oval shape. its depend on your choice or children’s choice.
  • Coat the Cutlets (Optional): For more crunchy, coats the cutlets with extra breadcrumbs when frying.
  • Heat Oil for Frying: Heat oil in a pan on medium heat. make sure the oil is enough hot before frying the cutlets.
  • Fry the Cutlets: Now fry the cutlets. fry each side until for golden brown and crispy.
